🎒My Favorite Amazon Prime Day Back-to-School Finds
From one music-loving, mom-teaching, piano-playing family to another.
P.S- There is a TLDR version at the end if you don't actually care about my personal reasons that each of these are good finds. Cool with me, I get it. I do it on the food blogs.
Scroll to the bottom-otherwise, enjoy my crazy antics and read on.

Every July, there comes a moment right around when the popsicles start melting too fast and the fireworks wrappers are still in the driveway.
(Or in our case, water balloons that popped during our 4th of July water fight.)
I highly recommend doing that. It's a blast.
That's when I get that little hyper-focus itch....the one that whispers,
"You know what would be fun? Organizing school supplies."
Which I'm sure Amazon has figured out that this goes through many minds of many moms out there during this month. Because of course, it is when they schedule Prime Day.

So, yes, I am that person. I love a new notebook. I adore a fresh set of markers. And don't get me started on dry colorful paperclips and highlighters.
Amazon Prime Day is my official kick-off to back-to-school planning. Whether you’re homeschooling, teaching music, running a classroom, or just trying to keep your kitchen table from turning into a tornado of glue sticks and loose crayons, this is the time to stock up on what really works.
So I went hunting for the best Prime Day deals that make sense for our kind of families. Music-loving. Kid-centered. Budget-conscious. A little chaotic, but deeply joyful. Here are the finds I’m most excited about
(and yes, I honestly have already added them to my cart).

P.s. Heads up, friends! I’m an Amazon Associate, which means I earn a small commission if you click and shop through the links in this post—at no extra cost to you. Basically, you buy the markers, and I earn enough to maybe buy... more markers. It’s a win-win. Thanks for supporting Greenhouse Music and my coffee-fueled back-to-school enthusiasm!

I have one of those kiddos that loves school and was play-acting going to school from the first day she learned what school was. We knew the first thing we wanted to get for her was an awesome Backpack that would grow with her.
Introducing the Bentgo Backpack that was the best surprise find.
This backpack was a great find after researching good brands.
I didn't want to land on the ever revolving issue of needing to replace a backpack each year. This is over two years old and doesn't show any signs of wear and tear.

BENTGO BACKPACK
My number one recommendation is on sale!
Write your awesome label here.
✏️ Pre-Sharpened Pencils
These are the pencils teachers actually ask for, and for good reason.
I couldn't find a great deal BUT this is always my backup. Of course Amazon always includes their own branded items in Prime Day Deals.
Amazon Basics Pre-Sharpened
As a piano teacher I absolutely grab these in bulk when they are on sale.
I love grabbing a huge pack of these to gift to teachers at the beginning of the year, so they don't have to always buy some out of pocket.
They sharpen well, don’t break constantly, and erase clean.
You'll notice the Amazon Reviews agree with me!
Of course, I try to always grab the pre-sharpened packs of Ticonderoga
(Because we all know they are the best) for school, but the Amazon Basics, are not a bad alternative when trying to save on money.

This might be a well known tip at this point thanks to TIKTOK but getting a Name Stamp for every item of clothing that needs my child's name was sooo helpful.
I went a step further (since I have all girls) And just ordered the cute dinosaur one with "The Green Family" as our stamp...
Because...well... Hand-Me-Downs are life. I did notice this one had a count-down counter on it, so Run Forrest Run!
NAME STAMP
These are an essential. Of course it was the first item I stamped when it came in. We use them to organize pencils, markers, crayons, colored pencils and even added a few sticky notes. There was plenty of organizational spaces. My type-A kid loved it... but for my type B child I'm probably going to go with something closer to this one: Clear Pencil Case

📦 Omie Lunch BoxI know I mentioned the BENTGO Backpack up above. I truly do love it and we do have this Bentgo Luch box and you can get THIS bundle deal...
BUT I love this OMIEBOX 10 x's more.
OmieBox keeps hot and cold foods separate and fresh in one single container, while Bentgo only handles cold items. It’s easier for young kids to open on their own, thanks to simple latches and a smart lid design.

Each compartment is leakproof and it has a built-in handle, so no extra lunch bag is needed.
It’s super easy to clean and holds up well over time, even with daily use and dishwasher runs.
It encourages variety by letting you pack warm meals, fruits, and snacks all together, making lunch feel more exciting and complete.
We also had a reward system where we added another vinyl sticker to it after a day at school with no incident. *As she learned the school rules in Kindergarten.
They stuck perfectly and came off cleanly when needed replacement. After year two we did need to replace the silicone seals but that was a super easy and cheap fix.

Now here is a semi-serious question for you... What kind of music teaching momma would I be if I didn't include at least ONE musical item that is perfect for this time of year.
This study* indicates that instrumental music lessons can enhance different measures of executive function in children ages 6-7. Confirming the direction of findings from interventional studies that reported positive results from music training on EFs in children. I have yet to find specific statistics on how many students on average will start individual piano lessons each year... But I always have new students in the fall.
So this is the perfect time to buy that helpful starter keyboard for your kiddo.
THIS ONE IS GREAT
It's got the lower price without compromising some key features, making it great for parents who are "Testing the waters" and seeing how things stick.
Yamaha is a consistent brand with a proven track record when it comes to keyboards and most lower models will give you a great bang for buck..
I highly recommend two things: Stay away from Donner and Alesys and don't get any Keyboard and stand bundle. You can buy a super cheap stand and save even more.
They are consistently a trap.
They are consistently a trap.
If you want to look at a blog completely devoted to keyboards...Check out this one.
So here we are, and thank you for making it all the way here. Honestly I'm so impressed, I will leave a TLDR version below. Thanks for reading, and for supporting this coffee addicted, leggings and sweatshirt wearing mom. ( and her incredible family.) With all this money you just saved, go treat yourself to a cup of coffee..
